To become an educator, someone who molds the minds of the next generation and looks after our children is one of the most noble callings there is. Those who aspire to such a position are often held to a higher standard of behavior both personally and professionally. On the other hand, dealing with a room filled with other people’s children, from young ones who scream and cry to teens who’s hormones make them venomous and rude can take its toll. The stereotype of hiding a liquor bottle in the desk and being burned out is pretty understandable.
A new way to relax
Some teachers, however, are taking a different approach to keeping their sanity and being able to give our children the empathy and understanding they deserve. Rather than becoming alcoholics, or simply dissociated with the calling, they are coming to enjoy the therapeutic powers of pot for everyday stress. If mothers are learning to love it for its ability to help them appreciate their time with their kids, why not teachers?
How else are you going to make the same subject interesting for the 100th time in a row? Some high school students are probably doing it to suffer through class, why not the teacher? The worst part of being a cannabis lover in a position of authority is having to preach against something that you love. Official policy and personal policy are two different things, and teachers have been sacked for less.
