8 Funniest “Saturday Night Live” Sketches Of 2016

snl hero 8 Funniest Saturday Night Live Sketches Of 2016

2016 hasn’t been the best year, but it’s been a fantastic year for Saturday Night Live. When it comes to politics, SNL gave America plenty of laughs when they needed it the most. Although the debates were the show’s primary focus, SNL managed to find even better ways to display political humor. All in all, Saturday Night Live is a downright hilarious show. When it comes to offering high-quality comedy, SNL didn’t disappoint anyone this year. From “Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base” to “FBI Simulator,” here are the eight best SNL sketches of 2016.

1. “Chonk”

At first glance, this sketch almost seems like your average fashion commercial. However, from the moment you hear “CHONK!” you know that it’s definitely not your typical advertisement. From the women’s facial expressions to the obnoxiousness used when saying “CHONK!,” how can you not laugh?

2. “Golden Globes”

While watching this sketch, you’ll say to yourself, “Where are they going with this?” But from the moment Vanessa Bayer starts snorting lines off of her Golden Globe, you’ll be too busy laughing to care. In fact, it gets better. After the sun rises and Liev Schreiber shows up wearing an apron, you are instantly pleased.

3. “A Day Off”

Nothing beats a day off, or so Kellyanne Conway thought. Rather than enjoying her day away from CNN, Kellyanne must spend her entire day defending Donald Trump, until she shows up in a bath towel.

4. “Farewell Mr. Bunting”

Just when you thought this sketch was boring, it takes a quick and dramatic turn when one of Mr. Bunting’s students loses his head. As a result, lots of blood goes everywhere, and the head eventually ends up flying out the window. Perfect timing for Bunting to make his exit, wouldn’t you say?

5. “Black Jeopardy”

If Tom Hanks is involved, then you know it has to be funny. During this sketch, in particular, he plays a Donald Trump supporter. Between the title, categories, and contestants, this sketch is pure comedy.

6. “Haunted Elevator”

The “Haunted Elevator” is supposed to be a scary ride. However, it turns out that the only spooky part of the adventure is David S. Pumpkins.

7. “Mafia Meeting”

If “Space Pants” isn’t stuck in your head by the time you’re finished watching the sketch, then you must be from outer space yourself.

8. “Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base”

Last, but certainly not least, is the “Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base” sketch. Of all the Undercover Boss episodes, this particular one featuring Kylo Ren takes the cake.
