How To Make A Pumpkin Bong Oil Rig Hookah

pumpkin How To Make A Pumpkin Bong Oil Rig Hookah

This Halloween, why not try something different with your pumpkin-carving skills, and create an awesome oil rig hookah? This simple video allows you to follow along step-by-step to construct an epic way to catch a buzz that all your friends will want to try. With a few simple tools, you’ll be on your way to an elevated mindset in no time.

Prep

This masterfully crafted idea came after Fox Don Roxy created a similar type of dabber using a pineapple, watermelon, and apple. The creation came out so sweet, Roxy knew a pumpkin would be the perfect gourd to construct a Halloween-themed bong from.

To begin, Master Bong and Foxy gather the necessary essentials to construct such an extravagant smoking piece. Some PVC air hose will work as the mouthpiece, while glass down stems are used to hold the oil.

In an attempt to make this pumpkin rig over the top, Master Bong mentions the idea of including two down stems, so both participants can take monster hits at the same time.

Construction

After choosing the perfect decorations to place on the pumpkin that will incorporate the down stems seamlessly into the design, the duo sets to work carving the shapes.

Master Bong carves a hole to replace the center “O” in October and replaces it with a down stem. Hoses are cut at varying lengths to accommodate the needs of any user. The more hoses included, the more people who can hit the pumpkin rig at one time.

Holes are easily carved to incorporate the hoses, and an extra hole will act as a carb. After inserting the hoses, the rig is complete. In as little as ten minutes, an exciting, festive pumpkin rig can be made and ready to use, by following this incredibly easy tutorial.

The only things left to do is heat up an e-nail, load up the rig and puff away to the heart’s content.

Guys, There Are Lucky Pennies Out There Worth $1,000

100000pennies hero Guys, There Are Lucky Pennies Out There Worth $1,000

Are you running low on funds this month? If so, collecting those pennies you find on the ground may not be such a bad idea. Ally Bank is scattering lucky pennies worth $1,000 all across the US. Because pennies aren’t seen as having any value, people often overlook them, and some even throw them away. However, people like Terry Williams occasionally decide to pick one up, not knowing just how much luck can come from it. A whole lot of luck. Be sure to hear all about the lucky pennies hidden across the country in the video below.

Lucky pennies

It’s time to stop passing by those pennies you see just about everywhere. Although you may not believe they are worth anything, there are now 100 pennies worth $1,000 hiding all across the US.

In the video, Terry Williams of Detroit shares his story of how he saw a shiny penny laying on the sidewalk, and decided to go ahead and pick it up. Little did Terry know, he was picking up a whole grand. In fact, it wasn’t until a few days after having the penny kept in his pocket that he realized what he had.

As part of a promotion, Detroit-based Ally Bank is placing the 100 lucky pennies across the country, all of which are worth one grand. Rather than displaying President Lincoln’s head, the coins include Ally’s logo on one side. If you flip it over, it reads 100,000, which means the coin is worth 100,000 pennies, equalling $1,000.

Although it may sound like a long shot tracking down one of these lucky pennies, it still doesn’t hurt to look.

Sounds like it’s time to light up a good sativa for focus and find those pennies!

Pennsylvania Releases Rules For Medical Cannabis Dispensaries

Pennsylvania Releases hero Pennsylvania Releases Rules For Medical Cannabis Dispensaries

Many Pennsylvania residents have patiently been waiting for the state government to begin the process of allowing patients with 17 qualifying conditions the right to medical cannabis. New regulations released this week prove they’re getting closer, but still have a long way to go. While the rules have been laid out for dispensaries, it’s likely there will be more restrictions added on as the program advances.

Pennsylvania is getting ready

As early as January, Pennsylvania residents suffering from the following conditions will be given access to medical cannabis:

  1. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  2. Autism
  3. Cancer
  4. Crohn’s disease
  5. Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of intractable spasticity
  6. Epilepsy
  7. Glaucoma
  8. HIV/AIDS
  9. Huntington’s disease
  10. Inflammatory bowel disease
  11. Intractable seizures
  12. Multiple sclerosis
  13. Neuropathies
  14. Parkinson’s disease
  15. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  16. Severe chronic or intractable pain of neuropathic origin
  17. Sickle cell anemia

The cannabis will be in the form of oils, tinctures, pills and some form conducive to vaping, but not dried flowers for smoking, and patients will need a prescription from a certified medical cannabis physician.

While the state prepares doctors and patients for the newly founded market, some of the 50 dispensary license holders are getting ready to set up shop. The state continues to release new information, almost daily, about the changing program guidelines.

Earlier this week, officials announced a few rules the dispensaries must follow in order to participate in the state’s medical cannabis program.

Regulation and rules

In order to comply with state regulations, dispensaries can only hire employees over the age of 18, be located at least 1,000 feet away from schools and daycares and customers would have to be notified that they are under video surveillance.

Pennsylvania also enforces these same restrictions in the state-run liquor stores. Many supporters of PA’s medical cannabis program believe the regulations on dispensaries should be similar to those laid out for the alcohol stores. So, it’s a good sign that state officials are following through with this notion.

More information about the percentage of state tax that will be applied to medical cannabis and packaging requirements are expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Weediquette: Secret Medical Cannabis Oil Production In The UK

Cannabis Oil Production hero Weediquette: Secret Medical Cannabis Oil Production In The UK

In the fourth episode of VICE’s Weediquette, Krishna takes a trip across the pond to take a look at Britain’s cannabis laws. The strict policy on medical cannabis has left English citizens to figure out the medicinal properties and distribution on their own terms. With a large demand for an illegal product, the producers are forced to work in secrecy. Check out the clip below to see a first-hand look at a secret medical cannabis oil production setup.

The British Robin Hood

The best part of the clip is near the end when Hydra admits that he gives away something in the ballpark of 20,000 lbs worth of medical cannabis flower and oils every week.

He claims he doesn’t make his medical oils for a big payday, he simply wants more people to be treating themselves with it. That way, the public will become more aware of the countless benefits that the plant has to offer.

The many people benefiting from his oils for free will eventually form the medical market once the U.K. legalizes medical cannabis. This underground economy should light a spark in the UK that could closely replicate Colorado or California’s medical market expansion.

Reverse Smuggling: Mexico Demands High-Potency California Cannabis

Mexican Residents hero Reverse Smuggling: Mexico Demands High Potency California Cannabis

For decades, you’ve heard of Mexican cartels smuggling “brick” cannabis into America across the southern border. The hard, stem-filled, seed-filled dried blocks have become synonyms as some of the lowest potency, cheapest cannabis available on the black market. As California begins to cultivate some of the most potent strains ever seen, Mexican residents are looking for ways to bring the high-quality cannabis from America to customers waiting just across the Mexican border. Check out the video below for the full story.

The rise in potency

When in the market for cannabis, most consumers want the highest quality, highest potency dispensaries have to offer. For many Americans living in states with recreational cannabis laws, this is as simple as asking a store worker or budtender.

However, residents of Mexico, where cannabis is still prohibited, are smoking the old, dried “brick” cannabis.

In Tijuana, doctors are seeing a rise in the number of cannabis abuses cases, mostly from residents who have dual citizenship or access to visas. These people are becoming the new drug smugglers, bringing high-potency cannabis back to Mexico from America, and sharing or selling it at much higher costs than the previously available supply.

Smuggling into Mexico

According to Dr. Raul Palacios, residents travel to California, where the high-quality cannabis is in great supply. These residents receive a medical cannabis card, which can easily be obtained in a variety of ways, then bring the product back to Mexico without ever being detected by border patrol.

This is because you can drive into Tijuana without ever speaking to Mexican officials or having a vehicle check, which is much less frequent than those traveling the opposite direction.

They can get it easily in California and bring it back with them in small quantities, generally for their own consumption. I don’t doubt that they share it with friends, but not on a large scale.

While this might not seem like a tremendous problem, it is illegal to transport cannabis from California to Mexico. Just as it is illegal to move cannabis from Mexico to the U.S. These residents are committing serious crimes that could land them in jail for an extended period of time.

mb torch Heres How You Make A Flashlight Pipe/Steamroller

Master Bong is back with another adventure, making a flashlight pipe/steamroller. Not only is it easy to make, but it’s also simple to smoke. Not to mention, it’s innovative. If you’re ready to put your creativity to the test, it’s time to check out the video below and make your very own two-in-one smoking device.

The flashlight pipe/steamroller

Are you an imaginative cannabis enthusiast that enjoys creating DIY smoking devices? If so, you’re in luck.

Not only will the flashlight pipe/steamroller transform your boring flashlight, but it can also be put back together for continued use.

First, you need to pick out a bowl. In the video, Master Bong chooses from various-sized sockets. Next, take your flashlight apart and remove the contents, such as the battery. Because an emergency can strike at any moment, you don’t want to damage your flashlight.

After removing the contents, it’s time to cut a hole for your bowl piece. If your flashlight has a flat part, Master Bong suggests that will work best. Of course, you don’t want to place the bowl too close to your face.

Once you have made your hole, make sure to blow out the excess plastic. Inhaling plastic is a no-no, so make sure you get rid of every little piece. Then, secure your bowl into the hole nice and tight.

Finally, it’s time to pack your bowl with your favorite bud! And if you want to go the extra mile, try putting your flashlight back together to see if it still works. Be sure to check out the video below for visual instructions.

Law Of The Land: Medical Cannabis In Rhode Island

Rhode Island hero Law Of The Land: Medical Cannabis In Rhode Island

When it comes to news, all too often it is the nation’s larger and more populous states that tend to attract the most attention. California, New York, Texas, Illinois: All of the bigger states in the country tend to receive the largest amount of media coverage and attention. The difference in attention, however, should not imply that the larger states are the only ones in which valuable and consequential strides are being made, both on the political front and elsewhere. This is particularly true of cannabis law: Often times it is the less-populated states, such as Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska, that have made the farthest strides towards realizing full legalization. Another example of this phenomenon is Rhode Island.

Medical legalization

While enjoying its status as the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island is nonetheless slowly but surely building a future with medical cannabis that will have implications for thousands of patients for many years to come.

The Ocean State first legalized the use, possession, and cultivation of medical cannabis in 2006. The 59-13 vote by the state legislature overrode the threat of a veto from then-Governor Donald Carcieriand made Rhode Island the 11th state in the nation to legalize the substance.

The legalization bill, dubbed ‘The Edward O. Hawkins and Thomas C. Slater Medical Marijuana Act’, established a framework in which patient cardholders may possess up to two and a half ounces of medical cannabis.

Patients may also cultivate up to 12 plants and 12 seedlings, provided that they meet certain conditions in the cultivation process.

The law allowed for multiple medical conditions to qualify for medical cannabis, including cancer, Crohn’s disease, HIV/AIDS, and chronic pain, among several others. Earlier this year, Governor Gina Raimondo (D) signed a bill adding post-traumatic stress disorder to the list of conditions.

Rhode Island: looking to the future

Rhode Island has seen a growth over the past several years in the number of patients currently approved for the use of medical cannabis.

As of July of this year, a total of 14,693 patients had been approved for cannabis cards, with an additional 2,904 cleared to operate as cultivators. (Cultivators are known in Rhode Island as “caregivers,” and dispensaries are known as “compassion centers.”)

The law allows for no more than three compassion centers statewide, all of which are currently up and running. Patient numbers have steadily increased since the state began opening compassion centers two years ago, which has proven challenging for state administrators constantly having to tend to the backlog of applications.

Yet while applications have been up in the two years since the state’s compassion centers first opened, recent findings indicate that revenues from taxes on cannabis are lower than expected.

According to dispensaries, this may be attributable to the fact that many caregivers are able to grow domestically without paying state taxes. Despite the overall low levels of revenue, however, the Rhode Island Division of Taxation has indicated that the numbers are slowly but surely climbing.

Efforts to pass recreational cannabis in the state have been attempted but the goal remains elusive for now.

President Obama’s Twitter Roast Blows Up The Internet

meantweets President Obamas Twitter Roast Blows Up The Internet

Just about everyone you can think of is roasted on Twitter sooner or later. Although people tend to get harsh at times, some tweets have us rolling with laughter. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, President Obama reads mean, yet amusing tweets about him. Some are ridiculous, but funny nevertheless. One of those tweets comes straight from current presidential candidate Donald Trump. Be sure to check out Mean Tweets- President Obama Edition 2 in the video below.

The Nickelback of presidents

Without delay, Obama gets hit hard when reading the first tweet. The Nickelback of presidents? Ouch.

Although that one is probably the best of them all, Obama continues to read the random, yet funny tweets about him. One tweet, in particular, reads, “I bet Obama likes mustard on his hot dogs because he’s gross.” It’s unclear as to where @duckpunks was going with that one, but it’s so random that you have to laugh.

Obama and his physique are brought up by @DJ_lcpl, who says, “Barack Obama… bro, do you even lift!?” Obama responds with “I lifted the ban on Cuban cigars, that’s worth something.” (Legalizing cannabis would have been more notable, just saying.)

Finally, the video ends with Donald Trump tweeting about how Obama will be perhaps the worst president in the US. You need to see how Obama responds, instant classic.

The High Guys Meet Their Idol, Snoop Dogg

highguys snoop The High Guys Meet Their Idol, Snoop Dogg

Everyone has grown to love Buzzfeed’s High Guys. The hilarious gang produces a series of videos of them accomplishing spectacular feats, like catching PokĂ©mon, while under the influence of their favorite herb. In their latest video, the guys were given the surprise of a lifetime, when they finally got to the meet, and smoke, with the Dogg Father himself.

Preparing the High Guys

Emma Kennedy, Brandon Brickz and Mike Glazer stand blindfolded, patiently waiting for some surprise they’re all skeptical of. Jessica Rothe and Scout Durwood, the stars of Snoop Doggs’s new MTV’S show, Mary + Jane, introduce the group to the beloved cannabis icon and announce a blunt rolling contest is about to ensue.

Before bringing the High Guys in on the secret, Snoop Dogg prepares a few blunts for the group and begins puffing away, ensuring the group will smell the cannabis before they see their surprise. Brandon doesn’t disappoint with his reaction, while still being blindfolded.

I trust weed. Where is the weed?

The High Guys are handed blunts, and soon, no longer care that they’re blindfolded and unaware of their surroundings. Emma is passed a blunt by Snoop himself, which she graciously takes and hits without even knowing who handed it to her.

The reveal

The best reaction comes from Emma; her mouth hangs open in amazement, as she begins to realize they are in the presence of greatness and that he passed her a blunt.

Starstruck, Mike Glazer is unsure of how to react and simply states one thing to Snoop.

You’re very cool.

Snoop goes on to explain how the group has been brought together be part of the annual Snoop Dogg Blunt Rolling Contest. Each contestant will receive two grams of bubble gum kush and a swisher, with the expectation of rolling a perfect blunt in under three minutes. Judging from their expressions, the group is more than happy to take part in such an epic activity.

When asked about how the guys feel to have Snoop smoking their blunt, Brandon responds the way we all would.

I mean, you know, it’s an honor cause really, it’s just chilling and being as cool as he is, is really a blessing. That’s what it is, man, this is an honor.

Of course, in the end, Team Snoop and Emma dominate the Snoop-judged competition, gaining an above perfect score of 100.235.

How Long Until The High? Edibles VS Smoked Cannabis

How Long Until hero How Long Until The High? Edibles VS Smoked Cannabis

For thousands of years, humans have smoked and eaten cannabis. Both result in a “high.” From a biological perspective, however, edibles versus smoked pot are very different. The length of time required to begin feeling a psychoactive effect (onset), as well as the duration of the potency of the high, vary in a big way between edibles vs. smoked cannabis and when the herb is vaped.

Edibles vs. smoked cannabis

Smoking involves the inhalation of cannabinoids, special molecules that provide medical efficacy. The most famous cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. This is because of the “high” that it produces in all mammals (not just humans).

When ingested (eaten), cannabinoids like THC obviously never touch the lungs. Instead, they enter via the stomach and are digested by the liver. But the resulting cannabinoid isn’t the version of THC that is delivered to the brain when cannabis is smoked.

When cannabis is eaten and travels through the stomach, it is converted to a different molecule.

Understanding THC molecules

The molecules resulting from smoking or eating THC, delta-9 THC and 11-hydroxy-THC, respectively, possess different characteristics, including their ability to permeate the blood-brain barrier. This results in significantly different efficacy for the two avenues of consumption.

There are three major areas in which eating and smoking/vaping cannabis result in very different effects:

  1. Onset
  2. Potency
  3. Duration

Smoked cannabis: 2.5 minutes

How Long Until 3 How Long Until The High? Edibles VS Smoked Cannabis

When cannabis is smoked, it produces delta-9 THC, which within seconds travels from the lungs to the heart. From the heart, THC is pumped directly to specialized CB1 receptors in the brain.

The onset of the psychoactive effect when smoking/vaping is relatively short, at only about 2.5 minutes. While individual efficacy varies based on physiology, body weight, and other factors, smoking delivers the fastest onset of all types of consumption.

Edibles: 45 minutes-2 hours

Cannabis edibles are metabolized via an entirely different mechanism than when the herb is smoked or vaped. Edibles enter the stomach and are passed on to the liver. It is in the liver that THC is converted to 11-hydroxy-THC.

The onset of your high is roughly 30-40 times longer for eaten versus smoked cannabis! However, the potency and duration of the psychoactive effect from edibles are considerably greater than when it is smoked. This is because of the relatively slow absorption of 11-hydroxy-THC from the gastrointestinal tract.

In fact, edibles can result in a high that lasts between six and ten hours, depending on how much is consumed and one’s tolerance level. This is three to five times the duration of the herb’s high when smoked.

Your takeaway

Your takeaway? When consuming edibles, start low and go slow. The biggest mistake made by those eating pot is taking too much at once. This is especially true of newbies. All because they don’t feel the effect as quickly as when smoking. Unfortunately, this causes them to assume that they require a higher dose to get high.

When it comes to eating cannabis, patience is definitely a virtue.

Law Of The Land: Ohio’s Medical Cannabis Law

Ohios Medical hero Law Of The Land: Ohios Medical Cannabis Law

When it comes to the nation’s politics, 2016 is turning out to be one of the biggest bummers in recent American history. Voters are dreading the choices that they have among the two major-party presidential candidates and people’s opinion about the direction of the country is at depressing lows. Yet there is one area in which voters are feeling some promise: cannabis legalization.

House Bill 523

Multiple states have cannabis legalization measures on the ballot this year, with both recreational and medicinal programs likely to be approved by voters across the country.

But this year was already historic on the cannabis front: In June, Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed a bill making the Buckeye State the 26th in the nation to legalize the use of medical cannabis and marking a turning point in the country’s history with the substance.

The measure passed by the Ohio’s state House and signed by Gov. Kasich provides a framework for a fully-functioning medical cannabis program, titled Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Control Program.

Multiple medical conditions are eligible to receive medical cannabis treatment, a list that includes AIDS, cancer, Crohn’s Disease, epilepsy, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among many others.

The bill clarifies many provisions at the outset, for example, it allows for cannabis to be made available to minors so long as the state receives parental consent. Other areas of the bill, however, will be left up to the advisory board overseeing the program.

For example, the bill does not explicitly state how much medical cannabis a given patient will be permitted to receive during each 90-day period. The state has also not yet finalized the process that would allow physicians to legally issue written recommendations to patients to use medical cannabis.

Potential issues with Ohio’s medical cannabis law

While the bill shows promise for innumerable Ohioans, there are also several catches. The first is that the law prohibits smokeable cannabis and allows for only edibles, vaporizers, and oils. The growth of the plant is also considered a crime, leaving patients without the option of growing their own medicine.

Another related catch to Ohio’s law is that the state is not likely to see the opening of growth or distribution facilities for the next two years, until September 2018.

And while the bill does allow patients to obtain the substance from states with already-established medical cannabis programs, such as Michigan and Pennsylvania, the transportation of cannabis across state lines remains a violation of federal law.

Even this provision is in jeopardy: a new state House bill currently aims to prohibit medical cannabis ID cards from out of state.

Legal experts in the state are wary that despite Ohio doctors giving the go-ahead to the state’s medical cannabis patients to transport the substance into the state, known as the “affirmative defense” clause, patients could still face federal prosecution.

The important thing to remember is this (affirmative defense) doesn’t mean you can’t be prosecuted. It just means if you are, this is the defense you can use in court to ask a judge to dismiss the complaint. It doesn’t mean you avoid the hassle of the courts. – Douglas Berman, Ohio State University professor

A promising start

Despite those and other challenges ahead, the state’s program remains promising. The Ohio Supreme Court recently stipulated that the state’s lawyers are permitted to assist clients looking to obtain medical cannabis.

A new advisory body, a 14-member panel dubbed the Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee, is also being formed that will assist state agencies in building the program from the ground up.

The state’s cannabis activists have been quick to praise the implementation of the program, which they see as instrumental in improving the lives of Ohioans.

This is a major milestone in establishing a system that will help countless Ohioans who are suffering from serious illnesses. It is one of the first steps in a long road to developing a well-regulated system. The real work of crafting the specific rules and regulations still lies ahead. – Aaron Marshall, Ohioans for Medical Cannabis, crucial in the state House’s ultimate adoption of House Bill 523.

Who Is Funding California’s Controversial Prop 64?

who is funding proposition 64 california hero Who Is Funding Californias Controversial Prop 64?

There’s seemingly no end to the controversy surrounding California’s Prop 64, the state’s ballot initiative to legalize recreational cannabis. On November 8, millions of voters in the Golden State will determine if pot is permitted for adults 21 and older. But do the citizens of the nation’s most populous state understand the sources of funding for the vocal media campaigns striving to lure their votes?

Examining the numbers

According to the State of California’s Quick Guide to Propositions, $20 million has been contributed toward passage of Proposition 64, while only $2.5 million has been invested in defeating it.

Billionaire tech titan Sean Parker has given $6.25 million to help pass Proposition 64. He is the largest single contributor to the ballot initiative. The Fund for Policy Reform has contributed $4.9 million and qualifies as the second largest donor to date.

With nearly ten times more money than the opposition, it’s no wonder that the latest polls are predicting that Proposition 64 will pass.

Polls match money

A Field Poll released in September by the Institute for Governmental Studies indicated that 60% of voters are in favor of the ballot initiative.

However, a more recent survey released on October 17 by SurveyUSA found 51% in favor and 40% opposed (the same survey in September indicated 52% in favor). This is the most pessimistic polling for Proposition 64 to date, but still indicates a probable win for the measure.

Biggest opponent of Prop 64

The biggest opponent of Proposition 64, at least from a financial position, is Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM). The controversial group, led by anti-cannabis crusader Kevin Sabet, has contributed only $860,000 to date. This represents less than 5% of what has been donated to pass the proposition.

If there is one thing we agree on with legalization advocates, it’s that California is important. –  Sabet

Small farmers unorganized

The problem with assuming that Proposition 64 will pass is not understanding that one of its largest blocks of opposition is small and midsized cannabis farmers located in the northern part of the state.

These farmers, 10,000 strong in Humboldt County alone, are largely unorganized. Many pot farmers have no doubt channeled contributions into mainstream anti-Prop 64 efforts. However, their outspoken voices will truly be heard at the voting booth in early November.

Powerful predictions

Despite the funding advantage, some leaders in the legalization movement warn against assumptions of a Proposition 64 victory.

California polling is good, but we can’t take anything for granted. –  Rob Kampia, director of the Marijuana Policy Project in Washington, D.C.

Even California’s lieutenant governor, Gavin Newsom, is behind Proposition 64. However, Newsom warned caution on the part of supporters. And he should know; his wife is opposed to legal pot.

It’s not a done deal by any stretch of the imagination. – Newsom

Others feel strongly that Prop 64 will pass without question, most notably leaders of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws).

I think, without question, we are going to win California. I really do believe that is the ultimate tipping point for this issue nationwide. – Keith Stroup, founder of NORML

It’s overkill. I’ve been predicting this would be a slam dunk ever since Colorado and Washington legalized in 2012. – Dale Gieringer, director of California NORML, when referring to the Proposition 64’s funding advantage.

Medical Cannabis Myth Busters: Does Cannabis Worsen Depression?

How A Video Game Created The World’s Largest Weed Community

weed video game created worlds largest cannabis community hero How A Video Game Created The World’s Largest Weed Community

What do you get when you challenge a bunch of gamers to cultivate marijuana online? The largest cannabis community on earth. For East Side Games, Vancouver-based creators of the underground Facebook game Pot Farm, there’s no doubt the influence of B.C. bud played a part in their runaway success. When the beloved brand moved to mobile, 1.2 million Facebook fans followed and began playing Pot Farm: Grass Roots on Android. Combined with the recent iOS release, the games have had over 20 million unique players in total.

More Facebook players than the population of Amsterdam

Just over a year after its April 20, 2010, launch (4/20, of course), Pot Farm had attracted more than a million players on Facebook – that’s more players than there are people in Amsterdam.

The dedicated underground fanbase and high levels of engagement are a testament to the game’s impressive art, contraband content and strong community engagement, all of which have followed Pot Farm to its newest Android game.

The premise is simple enough: design the ultimate grow-op and fend off spider mites as you cultivate your favorite strains of weed for eccentric buyers, including your own real-world friends! From growing various strains of kush to selling space cakes with your buds in a customizable dispensary, there are literally thousands of items to trip out on.

With over 10 million downloads and growing, Pot Farm: Grass Roots claims to be the most social weed game on mobiles.

The team behind Pot Farm: Grass Roots crowdsources feedback and suggestions in order to deliver whatever their audience craves – in this case, quirky graphics, addictive gameplay and regular updates that keep long-time players coming back.

That rare combination of a stoner-friendly aesthetic and unique, untapped content (how many video games have kept you hooked for six years?) has helped land Pot Farm on Mashable’s 11 Bizarre Facebook Apps and earned East Side Games a spot among Pocket Gamer’s Top 10 Mobile Game Developers to Watch.

But the ongoing success of the Pot Farm brand relies mostly on its loyal, cult-like audience.

From social to mobile: player loyalty bridges platforms

Pot Farm succeeded where most social games fail: its dedicated audience followed the game from its web-based Facebook platform to mobile with the launch of Pot Farm: Grass Roots on Android.

Most gamers will admit that they’re platform-loyal. (You may be a desktop gamer or a mobile player, but you are rarely both.) So what set Pot Farm: Grass Roots apart? According to East Side Games co-founder Josh Nilson, it’s the studio’s focus on community,

We owe everything to our amazing fans. Pot Farm has a really unique culture – not just within the games but on our Twitch and Facebook Live channels as well. Other companies design games they want to play, but we design games our fans want, then play along with them.

As a result, we are the game that non-gamers love. We are the reason people miss bus stops or stay up an hour later, just to play a little bit more.

Bong Appetit: How To Make A Bong Out Of McDonald’s

happy meal hero2 Bong Appetit: How To Make A Bong Out Of McDonalds

Are you looking to make the most out of your McDonald’s? You can turn your entire meal into a smoking device… a McBong! Although it’s not the ideal way to consume cannabis, it certainly is innovative. And with the help of the video by Tym Bussanich below, you will have your very own calorie-packed bong in no time.

The Mc Bong

Why eat your meal when you can turn it into your very own bong? The process is a bit messy, but if you’re looking for something to do, you can make a McBong.

The essentials include a soda cup with a top, a medium fries, one straw, two pieces of chewed gum, three single cheeseburgers, a shot glass, and aluminum foil.

First, cut a small hole in the middle of your soda cup to put your straw through, then secure the straw and cup with a piece of chewed gum. Your straw should be facing upward at an angle.

Second, fill the cup up with fries, because..well..who knows. Next, cut a medium size hole into the drink top and place it back on the cup.

Then, take your shot glass, turn it upside down, and smash it into one of your cheeseburgers so that you pull out a mini-size burger inside of the glass. The hold in the cheeseburger should be about the same size as the one in your cup top.

Third, place the burger with the hole in the middle on top of the drink lid. Then, create holes in the other burgers and put them on top as well. Finally, wrap aluminum foil around the top of the straw to create a bowl for your green. Slide it off, then connect it to the straw using the other piece of chewed gum.

After lighting up and saying a quick ba-da-ba-ba-ba (just because), it’s time to enjoy your very own McBong! Check out the video below for further instructions. Bong Appetit!

Have You Seen The New Adidas Weed Grow Advert?

Adidas Commercial hero Have You Seen The New Adidas Weed Grow Advert?

If you didn’t catch the newest Adidas commercial, it’s time to take a seat and pay attention. Set in a grim, George Orwell version of the future, the ad’s theme is “Your future is not mine.” And part of that future just so happens to include a commercial cannabis grow. Be sure to check out Adidas’s ad in the video below for a journey into a greener future.

Your future is not mine

After seeing the latest ad by Adidas, it’s clear that the future is looking greener than ever. As can be seen in the video, it’s obvious that the character in the suit is working in a commercial cannabis grow.

Not only are there several plants, but they are also surrounded by grow lights. Being that such a popular brand is displaying cannabis as the future, does it mean that Adidas is embracing legalization?

This isn’t the first time Adidas has brought cannabis into the light. During the previous Spring, Adidas released a special-release sneaker made from hemp. Plus there was the “Smoke” range with Rita Ora.
