Lovelution: Transcending Limitations Through Drugs & Music

1 2 Lovelution: Transcending Limitations Through Drugs & Music

We live in a world that tries to push us away from experiencing love and the freedom of our own consciousness. Our western culture has been stuck in a matrix where many of us have functioned within the status quo – stuck inside our own comfort zone. We often shy away from doing things because we know they would push us outside of our safe space.

If we always stay inside our comfort zone, we will never evolve

Fortunately, there seems to be a part of us that wishes to experience that which is beyond our comfort zone: a place within us calling out to experience more than what we have been given by our culture. This call asks us to do the things we have yearned for since the day we were born.

So, why aren’t all of us answering the call? Have we blamed our family, our society, or our government for holding us back?

Really, there could be infinite reasons why we don’t step outside our comfort zone. But, what if there was only one thing truly holding each of us back?

In fact, there is only one thing: it’s you, it’s me. It’s us. We are the sole reason we don’t get to see beyond our comfort zone. We limit ourselves with our beliefs. The way we feel, react to, or see anything is the result of our own doing. And, we have the choice to create the life we wish to live.

If we can see limiting beliefs and doubt as obstacles to overcome, then we can step into our true power. We can grow inside and out to move ever closer to our dreams. However, limiting beliefs – which are often built up over months, years, or even lifetimes – aren’t the easiest thing to overcome.

So, what tools are available for us to transcend these limitations?

If we look into history, we find that the use of drugs, music and love are what moved the masses most notably. For millennia, our ancestors have used what are known as plant medicines to heal, see the invisible, and create a better world for all.

The use of plants like marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and many others are still used today to open people’s hearts and bring them into alternate states of awareness and insight.

The hippie movement of peace and love also used substances like marijuana, ecstasy, and LSD to bring people together with a common cause.

Similarly to plant medicine, music is a powerful tool for personal and cultural transformation. We can all relate to feeling joy and ecstasy from listening to our favourite sounds. When we fully embrace music, we can achieve states of consciousness that are similar to that of drugs.

Lovelution is a collective that can attest to the magic music is able to create. This group of visionaries, artists, and entrepreneurs facilitate space for people to step through limitations and liberate themselves through shamanic sound therapy and the world’s grooviest dance music.

Many who have attended a Lovelution party express having psychedelic visions and insights during the shamanic sound therapy. They also speak of the most expressive, loving and liberating dance floor they have ever experienced, all without the use of drugs.

To transcend limitations and realize our dreams requires patience and the drive to become better. Whether this is achieved through the use of drugs, music or radical self-love makes no difference. Just do what feels right for you, regardless of what society says.
